Lead Aquarium Technician - Full Time Position APPLY NOW
Full-Time position for a Lead Aquarium Technician. This is a Mid-level position and technician will be required to perform maintenance on all forms of aquariums including freshwater, freshwater planted, saltwater, coral reefs and specialty systems in the field and at our shop. Must have extensive knowledge in coral identification, saltwater aquarium parameters, livestock care, etc.

Job Description:
- Drive to clients 4-5 days per week (8-10 hours per week of driving typically).
- Work hands-on with a variety of aquatic animals including various exotic species.
- General aquarium maintenance: Clean filters, magnet tanks, perform water changes, test water.
- Take detailed notes for each aquarium including products delivered and test results.
- Observation of aquariums and making notes for improvements and issues.
- Install and repair plumbing/equipment as needed.
- Fish and livestock identification and care.
- Coral aquaculture.
- Communicate with clients to ensure excellent customer service.
- Shop maintenance: General cleaning, laundry, and aquarium maintenance.
- Organizing maintenance schedule and maintenance items/tools to ensure that all items are collected before leaving the shop.
- Cleaning vans and tidying up the back room daily.
Requirements for position:
- 3+ years saltwater experience
- Must have clean and professional appearance.
- Self-starter attitude.
- Ability to work both solo and with a team (varies from day to day).
- Highly capable problem solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Friendly attitude.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Valid Driver’s license & clean record.
- High attention for detail is a must.
- Must be physically able to lift & carry 50 lbs+
- Passion for fish & coral or desire to learn the hobby.
- Love for science and scientific processes.
